Frequently asked questions
What is the Royal-Pedic Premier Natural 5" Pillowtop Pad and what does it do for my bed?
It is a 5-inch thick latex mattress topper with boxed-edge construction and chemical-free French wool batting. It adds plush cushioning and targeted pressure relief for hips and shoulders while keeping the mattress beneath firmer, and it sits on top of the mattress under a fitted sheet and mattress pad for a secure, wrinkle-free fit.
What materials is this topper made from and how does that affect daily use?
The topper uses natural latex with chemical-free French wool batting. The wool helps resist dust mites and wicks moisture for a cooler, drier sleep environment, while latex provides responsive support and a plush feel.
Is this topper good for hot sleepers or damp climates?
Yes. The wool batting wicks away moisture to help keep you cool and comfortable, which can be beneficial in warmer or damp environments.
Who would get the most benefit from this 5" pillowtop, and who might not be ideal?
It suits sleepers who want extra cushioning and pressure relief on top of a supportive mattress, especially for hips and shoulders. If you prefer a firmer, less plush surface, this topper adds noticeable softness while preserving underlying support.
How is the topper secured to stay in place with sheets and a mattress pad on top?
The top layer sits directly on the mattress with a mattress pad and fitted sheet over both the topper and mattress to secure the pad in place, providing a smooth, wrinkle-free feel.
What size options or fit does it come in, and how does it align with standard beds?
The topper is designed to sit atop a mattress and is meant to align with standard bed sizes, with boxed edges helping to maintain an even, durable edge around the topper.
